2027 LBRCA Young Driver of the Year Award

Nominations will open on Monday 19 October 2026.

The Award celebrates young drivers who demonstrate best-practice driving behaviours, a strong commitment to safety and professionalism across the heavy vehicle industry particularly within the livestock, bulk and rural transport sectors.

The successful recipient will be appointed as the LBRCA Young Driver of the Year and will represent young drivers across the Association. Taking on the role of a safety ambassador for the industry over the next 12 months. In this role, the winner will help promote safe driving practices, professionalism and positive career pathways within the heavy vehicle sector.

Prize and Recognition

The 2027 LBRCA Young Driver of the Year will receive:

    An industry study tour valued at $7,000, supporting professional development and exposure to best-practice operations

    $

    Recognition as a leader and ambassador for young drivers within the industry

    In addition, all finalists will receive complimentary full registration to the 2027 LBRCA Annual Carriers Convention, providing valuable networking, learning and industry engagement opportunities
