The Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association (LBRCA) has welcomed the announcement
of more than $9 million for new and upgraded heavy vehicle rest areas by the Australian and
State Governments.
The Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association (LBRCA) has thrown its support behind the national campaign to reduce accidents and near misses at railway level crossings across Australia.
The LBRCA is calling on the Australian and State Governments to support heavy vehicle operators, warning that the end of fuel price relief will mean the cost of living will rise and pressure on regional businesses will increase, along with Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) changes that commenced on 1 August.
The LBRCA community is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Tim Wedlock, Executive Chairman of AEI Insurance Broking Group. Tim passed away on 1 August 2026 in Nashville, USA, after he and several other pedestrians were struck by a vehicle.
