Jacquelene Brotherton

1998

Few individuals have had a greater influence on the formative years of the Livestock Transporters Association (NSW), now the LBRCA, than Jacquelene Brotherton. During the 1980s and 1990s she became the driving force behind much of the Association’s growth and development, earning a reputation as the “heart and soul” of the organisation. Serving as Secretary, Vice President and manager of the Secretariat, Jacquelene undertook countless responsibilities that ensured the Association not only survived but thrived during its early years. She was also responsible for organising many of the Association’s first conferences and events, creating opportunities for operators to connect, collaborate and strengthen industry relationships.

Awarded Life Membership in recognition of her extraordinary contribution, Jacquelene remains one of only a select group of individuals to receive the Association’s highest honour. Her commitment to service has extended beyond the LBRCA through charitable fundraising, including significant support for the Leukaemia Foundation, and through her ongoing involvement with Transport Women Australia and industry events.

Respected for her passion, generosity and ability to bring people together, Jacquelene’s legacy remains woven into the history of the Association and continues to inspire future generations of transport industry leaders.
