Mark Fletcher

2023

Mark Fletcher is a third-generation truck driver whose passion for transport has been deeply rooted in family tradition. Growing up around trucks and heavy machinery, following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather, Mark developed a lifelong appreciation for the industry and has worked hard to build an impressive range of qualifications. His credentials include Certificates in Mechanical Technology and Tyre Fitting, Child Restraint Installation Certification, Dangerous Goods accreditation, forklift and crane operation qualifications, Work at Heights training, and both HC and MC licences. Mark views himself as a quiet achiever who has accomplished a great deal at a young age through dedication, professionalism and a commitment to continually expanding his skills and knowledge.

Throughout his career, Mark has developed a strong reputation for reliability, professionalism and safety. He approaches fatigue management with a simple but effective philosophy—if tired, stop and rest—while maintaining a proactive approach to workplace safety through hazard identification, reporting and communication. Mark also advocates strongly for attracting younger people into transport through greater engagement with schools, structured training pathways and improved industry education. Passionate about road safety, he believes greater awareness among motorists regarding truck stopping distances and heavy vehicle operations would significantly improve safety outcomes. Determined to remain in the transport industry throughout his working life, Mark continues to honour his family’s legacy while building his own reputation as a skilled, safety-conscious and highly respected transport professional.
